After putting me into a spin the night before, I decided to complete the 4-part series of the Netflix documentary - Cooked by Michael Pollan - watching the final installment titled “Earth”. Little did I know, this episode covering the long-forgotten benefits of fermentation, would change my understanding of bacteria, germs, and the importance of cultured foods to build a healthy lifestyle.

After spending time writing, researching, and coaching in the past weeks, I got thinking about an interesting topic that I covered briefly in a post on emotional intelligence, the effect a person's self awareness has on their level of achievement and success in life.
What I discovered was that you need to take the time to define your success and have the right mindset to support you along your turbulent journey to the top. In fact, your mindset - what you believe is true, false, and possible for your potential - is the first and most important step that will allow you to unlock your true potential.
The most effective way to change your mindset to one of growth, motivation, and productivity, is to practice mindful exercises that promote the growth of your self awareness muscle.
